Senritsu: The Melody of My Heart

Senritsu is a likeable character, and I'm glad that she and Kurapika often teams up. I have a pretty strong feeling Senritsu's got a slight crush on Kurapika (I mean, who wouldn't? It's hard not to, especially seeing Kurapika's gorgeous face everyday). But of course, I do not wish for them to be a couple (since I ship KuroroxNeonxKurapika), and I believe Senritsu's contented with her one-sided love for Kurapika as she knows that Kurapika won't reciprocate her feelings due to her disfigurement (not that Kurapika's focusing on entirely physical aspects when looking for a mate, but...). Deep in her heart, she might be wishing to get her normal appearance back. If she ever did (and she looks okay enough), they'd definitely make the perfect couple because only she can calm Kurapika's raging heart and completely understand his emotions. Oops. Seems like I'm already divulging the details of my fan fic. Hee, hee! ^^

Senritsu is pretty easy to draw, and I didn't have a hard time working on her. Even the hands were easy, knowing that drawing them is my major weakness. My reference photo is from the 1999 Hunter x Hunter Taiyou wa Yoru mo Kagayaku (2nd opening theme). My sister Butako is the one who suggested I drew that Senritsu pose, but I found the original background difficult (due to the the dark atmosphere and shadings), so I opted for the flower garden background when Senritsu played the flute when Kurapika was being rash upon capturing Uvogin. As with most of my backgrounds, it wasn't easy to draw (cause I suck at shading), but this one wasn't hard either. I had a lot of fun drawing the dandelions, but I still think the art is a bit plain. Butako liked this piece though. ^^
